The new GMC Terrain has three trims for you to choose from, all with the same fuel-efficient 1.5L Turbocharged engine and a bevy of safety features modern drivers want to keep their family secure on every drive.
This family-friendly SUV accommodates up to five people. It gets fantastic gas mileage at 24/29 city/highway mpg, perfect for weekend adventures to Branson, Fayetteville, OKC, Kansas City, or St. Louis. With 63 cubic feet of cargo volume, you’ve got plenty of space to stretch out, stow your gear, or have a fun cross-country adventure during the summer.
Comfort on long drives is the key to successful family vacations. You’ll get 40.9 inches of legroom and 40 inches of headroom in the front and then 38.5 inches of headroom and 39.7 inches of legroom in the second row, ideal for stretching out and getting cozy on your excursions. You’ll have plenty of space, whether traveling with half of your softball team heading to a tournament or settling your little ones in for a trip to Grandma’s house for the holidays.
Need extra cargo room? You can fold every seat down, even the front passenger seat, to give you 8 feet of length if you need space for your next DIY project when you bring supplies from the home improvement store. The second row features 60/40 fold-flat seating for extra supplies, additional storage, or when you need space for a furry friend on a road trip.
With all the seats upright, you get nearly 30 cubic feet of cargo room for weekly shopping trips, stowing sports gear, and packing for weekend getaways. Going on a trip with just the two of you? You’ll more than double your cargo capacity with more than 63 cubic feet with the back row folded entirely down. Throw on a roof rack or haul a cargo trailer, and your summer vacations are set!
Each trim has a 1.5L Turbocharged engine, which gives you excellent performance for its relatively small engine displacement. The 9-speed automatic transmission gives you power for everything you need, from traveling down Highway 65 to Branson or heading to Kansas City for a Chiefs’ game. AWD is available on the higher trim levels, which is excellent for extra handling during spring rains and winter snow.
The Terrain may be the smallest SUV in the GMC lineup, but it still gives you enough power to tow up to 1,500 pounds when properly equipped with the correct trailer hitch package.
